History of Jaipur
Jaipur is the capital city of the state of Rajasthan in India. Jaipur is also popularly known as the Pink City. The city was founded in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. its streets.
Established in the uneven hills of the Aravallis, Jaipur is the perfect jewel in the desert sands of Rajasthan. Jaipur is as remarkable for its marvellous architecture and town planning as it is for the lively spirit of the people who inhabit it. Jaipur not only has a rich and colourful past, it is resplendent with tales of valour and bravery. It is one of the important heritage cities in India, and is a must-see for tourists coming to India. So much so that Jaipur is on the itinerary of every travel buff. Exploring Jaipur with the Grand Tours India surely can be a unique experience….

Moti Dungri (GaneshTemple) :
Located in the middle of Jaipur rises a small hill Moti Dungri meaning pearl hill, because it looks hill a drop of pearl. An exotic palace is parched which is a replica of Sco
ttish castle once occupied by Maharaja Madho Singh's son. From there on remained as a private property of the ruling family. In the recent past it served as a home for Rajmata Gaytri Devi and her estranged son Jagat Singh. The mere view of this castle is exotic enough. The highlight of this place is the famous and auspicious temple of Lord Ganesh, which is frequently visited by almost whole of Jaipur and people from outside.
Jal Mahal :
It is on the way to Sisodia garden. The Rajput style "Water Palace" sits in the center of the Man Sarobar Lake. The lake is often dry in the summer but winter monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake.
The Jaigarh Fort :
On the hills above the Amber Palace complex offers stunning views of the foothills of the Aravalli range. Historically this was the original Amber Fort, although it became known as Jaigarh from the time of Sawai Jai Singh II onwards.

One of the most magnificent marvels of Jaipur is the City Palace Complex which has a rare combination of the finest blends of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the heart of the old city, it has a vast area. The outer wall was built by Jai Singh and additions made up to the 20th century. Many buildings, well planned gardens and huge courtyards are a part of the complex.
